ABOUT THE DEGREE

1/3

Esports, or competitive video gaming, brings together sport, business, entertainment, technology, digital media, and community. This is not a traditional esports-management or sports Master’s degree. Rather than preparing students solely for careers within esports, the specialisation uses esports and digital play as starting points for understanding broader transformations in business, media, technology, culture, and society.

2/3

Students learn from internationally active researchers with expertise spanning esports, games, digital culture, business, communication, technology, and society. The universities’ connections with industry and other external organisations also help students relate academic knowledge to contemporary challenges and professional practice.

3/3

Through opportunities such as internships, article-based theses, and academic research, graduates can prepare for diverse career paths, including doctoral studies and leadership roles in digital innovation, media, business, education, and society. Overall, the Master’s offers a distinctive combination of academic rigour, international experience, and professional versatility.
